The New Twist Ending to The Childrens Story Dont Go In
"They can"t do that!" protest Shawn. "Maybe they can," his
mother spoke. "And you only had one week of summer left."
"Mother, are you kidding me!" blurted Tina. "One more week of
freedom is a huge amount!" "Then I guess something will have to
be done if kids don"t learn how to stop terrifying the town. I"m
going to go cook dinner." Their mother left the room. "Shawn,
this is all my fault," she spoke once her mother left the living
room. "Not really. It"s not like you knew there was a monster."
"Yeah but still. I can"t believe that kids are this hyper. It"s
like they can"t control themselves." Shawn pondered that thought
over dinner as they walked downstairs and sat at the dinner
table. He raked his mashed potatoes with his folk and didn"t
touch the chicken. Only moments later he didn"t want food. "I"m
not really hungry. Can I go up to my room?" he asked. His mother
nodded. He sat on the edge of the bed and flipped the TV on. "In
local news store owners are outraged at what appears to be
children on a rampage. Parents are urged to watch their
children's sugar intake during the summer season." "Mom!" yelled
Shawn. His mother came into his room. "Honey, you're suppose to
be resting, not watching TV." "But Mom! There's a local report
on the TV about kids going crazy just like Tina said!" "I
already told you, it's from all that chocolate. Lord knows how
you managed to afford all that." Shawn knew that wasn't it. The
monster was in all of them. Some more than others. Shawn knew
what he had to do, he just hope he wouldn't get caught. Later
that night... "Shawn, this is crazy. What if Mom finds out we
sneak out at night?" "We'll have to take that chance. Everyone
ate that chocolate has the monster in them and the monster only
comes out at night." "So that means what?" asked Tina. "We've
got to remove the monster from within." "How do we do that?" she
asked. "We fry them!" "And you thought I was insane!" bellowed
Tina. "We can't fry kids, that's crazy!" "We have to melt it out
of them. And the only way we can do that is if we get them in
the sun!" "And then what?" she asked. "It'll melt out of them.
Man, for being the older one you don't really pay attention!"
"This is too much!" she exclaimed. "Don't worry about it Sis!
You just help me rally everyone up. Tomorrow it's going to solve
the town's craziness!" Tina had major doubts, but she wasn't
going to allow her brother to go alone. The next morning Tina
and Shawn got up at the crack of down. Carefully they crept past
their mother's bedroom and down the stairs. A smirk spread
across Shawn's face as he saw the sun gleam off little pieces of
Mica on the ground. "I'm just helping you 'cause you're my
brother. This is your deal now. And for the record I still think
you're nuts!" "I'm gonna be the hero!" he proclaimed.
"Whatever," she replied. They started to walk downtown where
they find all the ones who ate the chocolate going crazy. Like a
wild pack of animals going after a piece of meat. Dumping
flowers off the stands at the local flower show. Others taking
the water hose and spraying each other. "Hey!" hollowed Shawn.
"You guys want some candy!" Instantly they turned around and
started to run towards Shawn and Tina. "We don't have any
candy!" whispered Tina. "I know," he whispered back. "Where?"
asked one boy once they all reached where Shawn was standing.
"If you stay here for a little bit, I'll give you all a bunch of
candy." "What is this, some kind of test?" snapped another boy.
"Uh, yeah," stated Shawn. "Think you guys can handle it?" "Of
course we can handle it you fool! All of Shawn's friends stood
in the hot sun determined to prove they could handle the heat. A
women walked up to Shawn. "What are you doing to these kids?"
she asked. "Nothing ," Shawn replied. "I don"t like the look of
this." The women proceeded to a police officer. "Uh oh, we
better do something," stated Tina. "What seems to be the problem
officer?" Shawn asked once the officer came over. "This women
claims that your torturing the kids behind me." "No we"re not.
Their my friends and we"re just playing a game." The officer
turned his head around to the kids direction. "It looks like
you"re giving them sunburns." "Really, we"re playing a game.
There"s nothing to be concerned about here," Shawn insisted.
"I"m keeping my eye on you," the officer stated. "Shawn, this is
a bad idea. We"re going to get into trouble!" "No we aren"t!
Give it ten more minutes!" 10 minutes later... Sweat was
consuming everyone's foreheads. The children"s neck and back
ached from the burning sun beating down on them. "Hey man! I'm
getting burned!" "How do you feel?" Shawn asked. "Annoyed! I
don't want any candy! I wanna get out of this sun and now!" "Me
either," every one of Shawn"s friends spoke. "Shawn, look at
their skin!" shrieked Tina. Shawn looked over to see their skin
was peeling a gross brown peel. "What is that?" "It must be the
chocolate. It was burned out of them." "Oh my gosh! Look at
those kids!" the women stated. "Officer, Officer!" she cried.
"Shawn do something! We"re going to get into trouble, hurry!"
Think of something!" Shawn started to panic. "Peel yourself!"
Tina screamed. "Yeah, peel yourself!" he stood in disbelief that
he hadn"t thought of that. Carefully Shawn"s friends started to
peel away the dead chocolate layer of skin. "What"s going on?"
asked the police officer. "Nothing sir. Some innocent fun." The
police officer looked at the dark peelings on the ground. "Clean
this up!" He then turned to the crowd that had gathered around.
"There"s nothing to see here folks. Please go on with what you
were doing." "We did it!" Shawn exclaimed. "We cured them!" "I
guess." "You guess! Of course we did! Now except for being all
sweaty, every thing's gonna go back to normal." "I'm glad this
is over. This school year is going to be a relaxing one after
this summer." "Yeah, but don't forget. There's always next
summer," Shawn stated. "Don"t even think about it! This was too
close for me! We"re never going back to that farmhouse ever
again. Understand?" "We"ll see," Shawn smirked.
